Show and tell time… The other day I purchased a new mug for my tea from a local whole food market–Meyers Falls Market. My previous mug was a cheap mega-store one that got a nasty chip on it.
It’s so nice to support local artisans. This mug stood out to me and has become a dear friend of mine already. When I make my tea in this mug, it receives it gladly and calms my inner being. It has an energy that can only come from a human–made by real hands, not a machine.
So I’d simply like to thank the builder of this cup here. Dort signs the bottom of her work. Her shop is called Dirty Deeds and he specializes in stoneware pottery. His works are hand built and wheel thrown.
Check them out online sometime, or just drop by the Old Apple Warehouse in Kettle Falls, WA.
